It was an excellent evening! We joined Nick on the launch of his novella 'Abyss'. Office horror? Yes please. There may have been a spill out into a local pub after, where there was much discussion around the existential horror of actually being a writer and... murder plots.

Tips for writing out and about in Edinburgh: Yes, you will need a coat. No, it doesn't matter if the sun is out right now. Also, you will need a tote, because when you flee the weather, you will undoubtedly find yourself in one of the city's many bookshops. This is not a bad thing.
